Cop Crashes While Escorting Trump’s Motorcade, Trump Refused to Let Air Force One Take Off Until He Spoke to Officer

Donald Trump was being escorted by his motorcade Wednesday, on the way back to Air Force One, when one of the police officers in the motorcade crashed his motorcycle. The officer was taken to a hospital. The accident is still under investigation. One thing stands out, though, and that’s President Trump’s reaction to the accident.

obert Turner, an officer with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, crashed badly. The motorcade had to drive on. That’s part of a presidential motorcade. Turner was hurt in the crash, and it seemed that many of the bystanders who witnessed the accident took pictures rather than assisting the officer.

After he did receive help, and was taken to get medical treatment, the President was boarding Air Force One. Instead of taking off as planned, he called the hospital and checked on Turner’s condition.

When he called, Trump was put through to Turner. When he had the officer on the phone, President Trump thanked him for his service. The Indy police posted the video. The captions reads: “Video of injured Officer Turner speaking with President Donald J. Trump. POTUS delayed taking off from #Indy until he was assured Officer Turner was ok and he also called and spoke with the Officer. #ThankYou”
